What if you could turn
thousands of lines of code into
simple queries?

As a PostgreSQL Major Contributor, I sometimes get to speak at conferences. Here you will find the list of talks I’ve been doing, with the slides available as PDF.

CHAR 11

CHAR(14) is a ‘must attend’ international conference for anyone interested in Clustering, High Availability and Replication, plus all forms of Parallel, Distributed and Grid architectures.

Bringing together some of the best people in the business, CHAR(14) is great place to learn and stimulate ideas, listening to renowned experts in their field. And there will be plenty of time to converse with both the speakers and fellow delegates from private and public.

A presentation of Skytools 3, the third major version of the replication and load-balancing solution from Skype. This covers both Londiste and PGQ.

I wrote a book!

PGCON

PGCon is an annual conference for users and developers of PostgreSQL, a leading relational database, which just happens to be open source. PGCon is the place to meet, discuss, build relationships, learn valuable insights, and generally chat about the work you are doing with PostgreSQL. If you want to learn why so many people are moving to PostgreSQL, PGCon will be the place to find out why. Whether you are a casual user or you’ve been working with PostgreSQL for years, PGCon will have something for you.

A talk about the then ongoing effort to implement support for Extensions in PostgreSQL. My patch was committed in 9.1 and is the basis for the create extension command.

FOSDEM

FOSDEM is the biggest free and non-commercial event organized by and for the community. Its goal is to provide Free and Open Source developers a place to meet.

The tale of the development of the Extension support for PostgreSQL, by the patch series author, yours truly.

PostgreSQL Conference Europe

PGConf.EU is a unique chance for European PostgreSQL users and developers to catch up, learn, build relationships, get to know each other and consolidate a real network of professionals that use and work with PostgreSQL.

2 years of londiste is a talk that summarize what we’ve found in this project after having been using it for 2 years in production. From the community aspects to the failure experience and the impact on the database management (rollouts, etc).

And the other presentation is a Lightning Talk about pg_staging, a tool that helps you setup and maintain your staging environments from your production backups!
